The Rotarian Experience gives Rotarians an opportunity to develop or build on their leadership skills for their club, business, or community, as well as get involved in something that makes a difference in the lives of young people. Rotarian Experience participants fully experience the RYLA Conference in the same way as their student participant counterparts; they are expected to participate in all three days of the conference and challenged to explore their leadership potential through the small and large group activities.

Through the Rotarian Experience, Rotarians develop a better appreciation and understanding of the RYLA Conference's remarkable impact on young people so that they can better support their Rotary Clubs in recruiting and sponsoring participants. In addition, Rotarians who participate in the Rotary Experience have the opportunity and are strongly encouraged to return to RYLA Conference the following year as Rotary Facilitators.

Rotarians may choose to pursue sponsorship from their local Rotary club or fund their own participation. Any Rotarian who is an active member of their Rotary club is eligible to participate in the Rotarian Experience.
