District 6220 further emphasizes the benefits of the GSE program to Rotarians and their communities with the following district objectives for the program.

The district's GSE program should . . .

• . . . emphasize international understanding and the development of meaningful, continuing relationships with exchange districts. Exchanges should not be planned necessarily to assist other nations, but opportunities for international service, such as the district's current Project, should be considered an objective of our GSE program.
• . . . strive to expand and even stretch the experience of Rotarians and members of their communities with cultures and regions of the world less familiar within our district. This objective complements the furthering of historical and cultural ties between our district and other parts of the world.
• . . . and pursue a plan of exchanges with both developing and industrialized regions of the world.
